Pamela J. Polley, About the Artist

Once in a great while, you come across an artist whose work is so distinctive and whose subject matter so varied that you think, this would make a great show.  That is how I felt when I first saw slides of Pam's art.  Woodlands and forests, boats, buildings and even tropical plants all seem to work together.  She interprets this collection of ideas using her fascinating palette of color.  Pam's use of color is really the key to her art.  The perception of depth and use of contrasting color are all integral parts of her overall ability as an artist.  The effect and end results speak for themselves, as this body of work is not only visually interesting, but works coherently as a bold interpretation of objects in a created space.  They are alive and make the viewer take another look and truly think about color.
